How Does the Office Depot® Low Price Guarantee Work for online and catalog purchases?

At Office Depot we offer a low price guarantee! If you find a lower advertised price than our net price on a new, identical product, at a Competitor or Web Competitor (see below) within 7 days of making your purchase on our website or through our catalog, we will match that price! Simply call us at 1-800-Go-Depot and we will match the price. Please remember to have proof of the low price available to fax or email when you call.

Does the Office Depot® Low Price Guarantee work for in-store purchases?

Yes. If you made your purchase at an Office Depot store and see a lower price than our net price at a Competitor's Store (see below) within 7 days of your Office Depot purchase, we will match that price. Simply visit the store where you made your purchase, and please remember to have proof of the low price available to provide to us. If you placed an order online for in-store pick up, we will only match a Competitor's online price if the product is available from the Competitor for pick up at a retail store location within the same market area. Please call or visit a local Office Depot store for further details.

Office Depot reserves the right to reject any price match that cannot be verified by proof acceptable to Office Depot in its sole discretion.

Which companies' prices does Office Depot match?

The qualifying competitors ("Competitors") are: Staples, Office Max, Best Buy, Reliable, Quill, Sears, Target, K Mart, Costco, Sam's Club and Comp USA. The qualifying web competitors ("Web Competitors") are: Staples.com, OfficeMax.com, BestBuy.com, Reliable.com, Quill.com, Sears.com, Target.com, KMart.com, Costco.com, SamsClub.com, CDW.com, Tigerdirect.com, Outpost.com and Frys.com. If you find a lower price at a U.S. company not listed above which has similar channels of distribution (stores, catalogs, Internet) that you would like us to match, we reserve the right to review your request and match that price in our sole discretion.

How does Office Depot calculate its net price?

Office Depot's net price is the final price that you pay after using any coupon offers, instant savings, and mail in savings offers. For example, if we sell a product for $10, with a $2 instant savings offer and $2 mail in savings offer, our adjusted "point of sale" price is $8, but our net price is $6.

How does Office Depot handle a price match if the Competitor's advertised price or coupon includes an instant savings, mail-in rebate, gift card, or free promotional product offer?

Office Depot will match the Competitor's adjusted point of sale price which is calculated by deducting any instant savings offers that are applied at the point of sale, such as instant rebates and coupons. Mail-in rebates and other types of deferred savings are not deducted from the Competitor's price. We do not match our Competitors' offers for gift cards, gift checks, or free promotional products.

Are there any other exclusions to the Low Price Guarantee?

Office Depot does not match Competitor's service prices, including but not limited to delivery, installation, extended warranties and computer services. We do not match our third party providers' products and services (e.g. cell phone service, tax preparation, payroll services, custom printing, installation services, and service plans) or items sold on internet auction sites or at local or special events (e.g. grand openings, closeouts, clearances, liquidations, anniversary sales). Also we will not price match taxes, typographical errors or special offers from a manufacturer.

Will Office Depot provide a price match if the Competitor does not have the item in stock or states that quantities are limited?

No. Sometimes a Competitor will advertise a low price for a product while having only a limited supply of the item. If our Competitor is out of stock, or states in their ad that quantities are limited, the product is not eligible for the Low Price Guarantee. We reserve the right to verify that our Competitor has the product in stock at the low price.

What if I find a lower price at an Office Depot store, in an Office Depot catalog, or on Officedepot.com?

We sell through multiple channels of distribution including catalogs, retail stores, the Internet, and contract delivery. As a result, our prices may vary, higher or lower, in any channel at any given point in time. If you find a lower price in an Office Depot catalog, on our website, or at an Office Depot store within your local market area within 7 days of your purchase, we will match the price if the item is in-stock in all channels. Ad errors, items advertised as clearance or while supplies last and offers advertised as available at one location and/or in a particular channel of distribution only are also excluded from this offer. We do not match prices offered to our contract customers. Additionally, this low price guarantee does not apply to www.techdepot.com.

Do you include delivery charges in the price match guarantee?

Yes. When we compare our price to a Competitor's price, the equivalent delivery charges will be included when we calculate the price of the Competitor's product. If the Competitor's delivery charges are not provided, a minimum of $9.95 will be added to the Competitor's price. Delivery fees are subject to change without notice. Office Depot's fees for premium furniture delivery are excluded from the Low Price Guarantee.

Does Office Depot accept coupons from Competitors?

Yes. Coupons are accepted in-store only. Acceptance of coupons from the Competitors is subject to the terms and conditions listed on the coupon.


Office Depot does not accept Competitor coupons for free/promotional or non-identical products.

Our prices may vary based upon your order, delivery location(s) and the applicable retail store location. Prices and the availability of items are subject to change at any time. We reserve the right to limit the quantity sold including the right to refuse sales to resellers. We reserve the right to cancel or limit any purchase made contrary to the terms of any offer, discount, promotion or coupon or that otherwise is not in compliance with our Terms of Use or applicable state and federal law.

What are my payment options?

We accept all major credit cards, including Office Depot Business and Personal credit card accounts, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We do not accept cash or checks for delivery. However, for your convenience, delivery orders may be placed and prepaid at any of our stores.

Can I use my dollars off coupon as a payment?

"Dollars off" coupons cannot be used as a credit card payment. Not valid for: purchases of Gift Cards, and wireless, satellite, Internet, or mailing/shipping services. Good for one-time use only-not combinable with other promotions offering "dollars off" or "percent off" the entire order, but is combinable with other sale items. Limit 1 dollars-off coupon per customer/business.
